The forum, which hosted its first seminar on March 25, is set to build a solid support structure so that businesses can become sustainable.
According to the deputy secretary-general, Nobuhle Zulu, their forum wants to see township businesses fully incubated and compliant to participate in the economy’s growth.
“Most black businesses complain about the lack of government funding, support and sustainable structures at the local municipality level.
“We want to help entrepreneurs who have a challenge with access to the market and want to attract potential investors to grow their businesses,” said Zulu.

“Forums we have partnered with to uplift local businesses include Roodekop Business Forum and Phumula Ward 41 Business Forum.
“We assist with company registrations, Sars registrations, vendor registrations and Central Supplier Database Applications (CSD).”
He highlighted that even though their forum is Vosloorus-based, they are willing to help any township business in Ekurhuleni.
“We have applied for funding from the Small Enterprise Finance Agency (SEFA) and would appreciate any other assistance,” concluded Zulu.
