Financial workshop for women hosted in Ivory Park
Classic Visionaries with Old Mutual educate woman on financial independence.
Classic Visionaries, in association with Old Mutual, hosted a financial workshop for women at the Ivory Park North Hall on April 9.
Khanyisile Mahlaba, the founder of the Classic Visionaries, stated that the NPO was established in 2017.
Organisations like Opened Eyes Positive Impact, Miss Tembisa, and Miss Ivory Park Redefined, were present.
“The workshop was aimed at teaching skills and knowledge that allow women to make informed and effective decisions with all of their financial resources. It focused on building a society of independent and money-smart women coming from the streets of Kasi,” Mahlaba explained.
“The moment the organisation heard that Old Mutual offers financial training and presentations for non-profit organisations such as ours, we grabbed the opportunity and invited other female NPOs to join the journey.”
Suzana Macheque from the Opened Eyes Positive Impact organisation also touched on mental health during the day.
Her discussion was followed by Boitumelo Makeaepea, Miss Tembisa, speaking on the importance of financial independence as a woman.
“The event ended with a few words from myself on the topic of self-discovery and love,” added Mahlaba.
