Capt Neldah Sekgobela, Ekurhuleni district communications officer, said the victim told police that on May 4 he was driving on N14 Road to Kempton Park when he was followed by a white bakkie, similar to a Ford Ranger, with a registration number that begins with KC.
The car had a blue light on the dashboard and the driver activated his hazards and indicated to the complainant to pull over.
“When the complainants disobeyed the orders, a car pulled up alongside him, and three men in police uniforms and wearing caps yelled at him to pull over.
“The complainant screamed back at them, stating they are not police officers. The suspects abruptly pulled back and turned off the blue light,” said Sekgobela
Ekurhuleni district commissioner Maj-Gen Anna Sithole appealed to drivers to be vigilant at all times.
