According to CPF member Floydie Mnguni, the child died on Monday morning of natural causes.
“I was told that the child was not sick, that the boy was perfectly healthy. It was only in the evening that the child struggled to breathe and that the family thought of taking the baby to the clinic in the morning,” said Mnguni.
Following the passing, the brother said that he informed the landlord of the incident and that is how the community came to know about the tragic incident.
“As the family could not afford assistance and with the support from the community, the funeral was carried out by Kings & Queens Real Funeral Service for free, responding to the pleas of the community to assist the family.
After hearing about the child’s death, Pastor Popela of Eagles on Fire Church in Esselen Park also offered assistance.”

“It really came as a shock to the community, and when we heard, we tried to do everything we could to help the family and donate to them. And what hurts the most is that the child died in his mother’s arms,” said Mnguni.
Tadiwanashe was laid to rest at the Bredell Cemetery following the funeral service that took place at his home in the Emfihlweni Section in Thembisa.
