Held over the weekend of May 6 to 8 the event gave community members and plant enthusiasts the chance to browse a variety of orchids, bonsais and succulents on display.
While at the show and the market community members could interact with EROS members and other stallholders to learn more about caring for the various plants.
The title of grand champion was awarded to Eros chairperson André van Wyk for his Stenoglottis Taurus orchid while committee member George Vorster was awarded the title of reserve champion for his Paphiopedilum Norito Hasegawa orchid.

At meetings, members learn about growing orchids and network with other members who share their knowledge and their experiences.
The society hosts expert speakers at its monthly meetings where members bring flowering plants which are discussed by the speakers.
Meetings are held on the second Saturday of the month and cost R300 per family.
A R10 entrance fee, which includes a raffle ticket, is charged per meeting.

On June 11 at 14:00 the society will host a repotting demonstration and provide tips on growing orchids.
