The expo was organised by a team of volunteers and interns working in partnership with the schools and exhibitors.

Organiser Thulani Kuaho said the event aimed to provide learners with the opportunity to meet and network with top local and international companies while providing recruiters with the opportunity to meet a large number of possible candidates in a short time.

“Since 2019, I’ve been organising and hosting a career and entrepreneurship day at church every June as part of the youth month.

“This event aimed to encourage young and middle-aged people by highlighting platforms, areas of potential, and networking opportunities.

It also gave people great possibilities to get their resumes in front of potential employers and contact them.

“The young people of Thembisa were prudent to attend the expo because it provided an excellent opportunity to create brand recognition.

“We hope that the expo will aid in the development of a generation of industrious young people who will contribute to the economy as a whole,” said Kuaho.
