Local kickboxer scoops four medals

Jacques Dicks (52) managed to get one gold two silver and one bronze medal at the recent martial arts championships.

Kempton Park’s Jacques Dicks (52, right) won four medals at the Full Contact Martial Arts South African Championships.

Local kickboxer Jaques Dicks (52) participated at the Full Contact Martial Arts South African Championship held in KwaZulu-Natal in June.

He participated in four divisions and won the following: gold in full contact continuous sparring, silver in full contact points sparring, silver in creative weapons, and bronze in hard forms.

Although Jaques is an athlete at the United Martial Arts International Dojo in Benoni, he is a Kempton Park resident.
