Local police catch drug dealer in Ivory Park

“He had stock valued at more than R5 000 and cash believed to have been from selling drugs,” said Matimulane.

The station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, welcomed the arrest of a suspected drug dealer on July 21.

According to Ivory Park SAPS spokesperson Captain Ben Matimulane, the suspect was traced to Extension 9 in Ivory Park and was found in possession of nyaope, dagga and other drugs.

“He had stock valued at more than R5 000 and cash believed to have been from selling drugs,” said Matimulane.

Matimulane said he was found in possession of 99 packets of nyaope and 40 rock drug packets.

Ngcobo appealed to the community of Ivory Park to assist the police in the fight against crime.
