Ivory Park murder suspect found in Tshwane

Police have been looking for the suspect since January in connection with the murder of William Manana.

Detectives from Ivory Park SAPS caught a man wanted for murder in Winterveldt, Pretoria, on July 25.

According to Ivory Park SAPS spokesperson Captain Ben Matimulane, the 36-year-old was sought in connection with the January murder of William Manana, a 30-year-old man who was allegedly shot four times in the upper body.

“The deceased and suspect were known to each other. Shortly after the murder, the suspect fled Ivory Park,” said Matimulane.

“A firearm used in the murder and a firearm allegedly taken from the deceased are yet to be found.”

Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, the station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, complimented detectives on the arrest.
