Two suspects arrested in Ivory Park for murder

Matimulane said both are in police custody pending their first appearance in Thembisa Magistrate’s Court to face a charge of murder.

Ongoing investigations into what looked like a mob justice incident culminated in the arrest of two men from Ivory Park’s Ext Six on July 30.

“The two suspects were picked up by Ivory Park SAPS detectives who have been investigating the murder of a 29-year-old man accused of robbery,” said Ivory Park SAPS spokesperson, Captain Ben Matimulane.

Matimulane said the victim was assaulted and died because of his injuries.

“Investigations led the police to the two suspects,” said Matimulane.

Matimulane said both are in police custody pending their first appearance in Thembisa Magistrate’s Court to face a charge of murder.

The station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, welcomed the arrests.
