Soup kitchen hosted for the homeless of Kempton Park

The organization that helps with social development, through various programs in Kempton Park, also hosts a soup kitchen for the homeless every Thursday.

Families South Africa (Famsa) hosted a soup kitchen in Kempton Park recently.

The non-profit orgnisation provides counselling, education, training and social development programmes in Kempton Park.

According to PRO and fundraiser, Cindy Sithole, the soup kitchen was in alignment with alleviating hunger in the streets of Kempton Park.

“Every Thursday we host a soup kitchen for the homeless in Kempton Park because we know the level of poverty. We assist by providing them with something to eat every week,” said Sithole.

The organisation also seeks donations to help aid its operations in Kempton Park.

“We have a charity shop at our office and request donations of items no longer used in homes and workplaces,” said Sithole.
