Wonder Khaleswayo speaks on his love for the field

Wonder Khaleswayo is a sports journalist who has established himself as one of the most recognisable sportscasters in Ekasi.

He holds a B-Tech in Journalism from the Tshwane University of Technology.
His beat as a sports journalist includes football, cricket and rugby.
The broadcaster previously worked at Voice of Tembisa FM, Letsatsi Media, Steve Biko Radio, TUT FM and is the founder of a YouTube channel called The Sports Chat.
“I have always been captivated by sport. I first realised I belonged in a radio studio when I eventually stepped into one – I never looked back.
“I hope to inspire others to share my love of sports. I like sports journalism and broadcasting.
“I want to be able to relay the story to the person who wasn’t able to witness the game. I get pumped up about it.
“I want my work to be accessible to anyone who may not be familiar with or interested in sports.

“The interview I conducted with Banyana Banyana legend Portia Modisa on my YouTube Sports channel has to rank as the best moment of my career thus far.
“It was a special moment for me because she opened up a lot about the treatment she received while playing and the state of women’s football in this country without being afraid to speak out.”
He urged those who want to work as sportscasters to pursue their dreams.
“Never stop pursuing your goals because they are there for a purpose; always have faith in your talents,” said Khaleswayo.
