Production head from AUS production company Steve Gyiambi said the talk show, which only involves high school learners, is aimed at keeping the youth productive and away from negative influences.

“We came up with this idea because we realised that there are a lot of social ills in our community, such as teenage pregnancy and drug abuse.

“We wanted to create a platform for students to showcase their talents while addressing issues that affect them as a group,” said Gyiambi.

The talk show called High School Talk is meant to involve various learners from different schools coming from different backgrounds.

“We will approach high schools in Kempton to host auditions for the talk show and the High School Fiesta Talent Show.

“We are looking for talent in dance music and acting,” said Gyiambi.

The talent show, hosted at the Kempton Park Civic Centre will take place on September 16.
