Officers from Norkem Park SAPS arrested three hijackers on January 30.

According to station commander Colonel Maunatlala, a vehicle tracking company alerted officers of an activated tracking signal picked up along Mooirivier Drive in Norkem Park.
“The hijacked Toyota Yaris was taken in Pomona earlier on the same day,” said Norkem Park SAPS communications officer, Warrant Officer Barbara Ferreira.
She added that the vehicle was stopped with the three occupants arrested.
“A firearm as well as a toy gun and ammunition was found in possession of the suspects,” said Ferreira.

The suspects were charged with hijacking, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. They will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court soon.
