Rabie Ridge man busted for drugs and stolen cash

The suspec was taken to the Rabie Ridge Police Station and is expected appear in the Midrand Magistrate’s Court.

The EMPD Northern Region Unit officers and the SAPS Crime Intelligence arrested a 24-year-old suspect and confiscated narcotics last Tuesday.

Officers received information about three people dealing in illegal firearms and removing ink from stained cash notes stolen from bombed ATMs.

The two live in the Thembisa area, in Khatlamping and Isithama sections, and were visited but were nowhere to be found.

The third suspect (24) residing in Rabie Ridge was cornered on Seemeeu Crescent and handcuffed after officers found 25 Mandrax tablets and nine sachets of crystal meth, valued at R2 300.

The officers also found R360 in cash.

The suspect faces charges of possession of an illicit substance and possession of suspected stolen cash.

He was taken to the Rabie Ridge Police Station.

He is expected to soon appear in the Midrand Magistrate’s Court.
