Among those present were Argi Batis and Chrissoula Gavalakis-Voulgaris (previous residents of Observatory and Bruma respectively), who specially travelled to South Africa from abroad to attend this milestone occasion.

It is taking place in the school’s 50th birthday year.

They echoed the sentiments of their classmate Sheldon Thomas, who summed up the experience thus:

“Thank you to each and all in our 1983 group for the wonderful experiences and memories that we get to celebrate today.

“The evening of our lives is in sight, but we are lucky enough that the night is still young, love is eternal, and we are an integral part of something very special. Thank you Saheti.”

The reunion was organised by the school’s alumni officer Alexia Aronis.
