Thembisa Mile 10km runners to tackle township streets

The race starts on Pearce Street and ends inside the oval at Olifantsfontein Sports Ground.

The Thembisa Mile 10km will take runners through several streets of the township before bringing them back to the finish line at Olifantsfontein Sports Ground.


The race will start on Pearce Street, with runners turning left into Reginald Street before turning left into South View Road.


From South View Road, the route turns right into Main Road, followed by a left turn into Olifantsfontein Road.

Runners will then turn right into Goedehoop Avenue, followed by a right turn into Ruth First Street. From there, the route turns right into Reverend RTJ Namane Drive, which becomes Industry Road.

The route then turns left into South View Road before runners turn right into West View Road.

The final section takes runners towards Olifantsfontein Sports Ground, where they will turn left and enter the premises to finish inside the oval.
