Two suspects arrested at Ebony Park Spar Shopping Complex
Police said suspects were also found in possession of 3 unlicensed firearms.
Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, the station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, has praised a successful law enforcement joint operation held on November 2.

The SAPS was joined by the Anti-Corruption Unit, Gauteng Highway Patrol, and the EMPD’s Special Task Team.

It resulted in the capture of two men, and the recovery of three firearms and 24 rounds of live ammunition.
“This time of year demands that we as law enforcement agencies be on high alert, considering the fact that criminals are continuously on the prowl for items and properties not belonging to them,” said Ngcobo.
According to Ivory Park SAPS spokesperson Captain Ben Matimulane, the police received information that criminals were about to get up to mischief involving firearms.
The police lay in wait and stopped the vehicle, which matched the description given.

“The accused are from Ivory Park. The two men will be charged with possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. Investigations are ongoing.
“They are due to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court soon.”
