After his wife laid a charge of rape, a 39-year-old man turned himself in at the Rabie Ridge Police Station on March 12.

The husband is alleged to have forced himself on his wife against her will after they got into a fight about the wife’s infidelity, according to Rabie Ridge SAPS communications officer Sergeant J Nhlongo.

“Regardless of your marital status, the SAPS cautions married community members that they need to be aware that if their spouse has not given their consent regarding sex, the act is still considered rape.”
