Police launch manhunt after firearms and ammunition were discovered in Thembisa
Fight against trio crimes continues after firearms and ammunition are seized in Thembisa.
Members of law enforcement are on the lookout for the owner of a Deshbro rifle discovered on March 14 in Isivana section, Thembisa.

According to a statement by the office of the district commissioner, Major General Anna Sithole, members of the Ekurhuleni District Crime Intelligence Robbery Aggravated team, Benoni Flying Squad, Local Criminal Record Centre and EMPD reacted on a tip-off.
“The teams found a child inside the house when they arrived.
“The address was searched and a rifle with two magazines, 42 live ammunition, one 9mm Taurus G3 pistol with 21 live ammunition, a crowbar and gloves were recovered, seized and booked at Tembisa South Police Station,” said Captain Neldah Sekgobela.
Sekgobela said a follow-up will be made regarding the suspect since he is known.

Sithole commended the persistent efforts of all the members in their pursuit of ridding communities of illicit firearms in Ekurhuleni.
