EMPD bust suspect in Aston Manor for drugs

The community is encouraged to report unlawful activities taking place.

The EMPD Northern Region Task Team officers arrested a 36-year-old male suspect for dealing in various illegal drugs on March 27.

The officers received a tip-off about suspicious activities at Hill Crescent in the Aston Manor area of Kempton Park.

EMPD spokesperson Kelebogile Thepa said the officers searched the property and found crystal meth, dagga and cat with an estimated value of R10 000.

The suspect was charged and detained at the Kempton Park Police Station.

Thepa added that the suspect would soon appear in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court.

She encouraged members of the community to report unlawful activities and continue working with the police to reduce crime in the City of Ekurhuleni.
