Local police arrest more than one-hundred and recover vehicles
Some 42 hijacked and stolen motor vehicles were recovered with 18 arrests for the possession of these vehicles.
Rapid Response Services comprising Flying Squad, K9 Units and Highway Patrol members throughout Gauteng arrested 108 suspects and recovered motor vehicles and firearms between April 7 and 13.

Officers participated in various concentrated operations, vehicle checkpoints, secure escorts and intensive patrols around Gauteng, which led to 40 arrests for serious crimes including assault GBH, attempted murder, robbery, possession of stolen goods, driving under the influence of alcohol, fraud, shoplifting and malicious damage to property.
Some 42 hijacked and stolen motor vehicles were recovered with 18 arrests for the possession of these vehicles.
Ten unlicensed firearms were recovered accompanying eight arrests.
In further policing, 42 arrests were made for the possession of and dealing in drugs.
Heroine, dagga, cocaine, Mandrax and crystal methamphetamine were among those confiscated in these separate incidents.

Investigation continues into all cases. The suspects will be appearing in the local Magistrates courts across Gauteng.
