Seven suspects nabbed during the weekend

Nyaope (heroine), dagga, crystal methamphetamine and Mandrax were recovered in these separate incidents.

Between April 21 and 23 officers from the Benoni Flying Squad arrested seven suspects and recovered three motor vehicles.

Five suspects were arrested when they were allegedly found in possession of drugs at Kaalfontein Ext 1, Mabaso Street, Daveyton and Emaphupheni Ext 16.

On April 22 at around 07:30, officers followed up on information with a tracking company, which led them to a residence in Kerk Street, Kempton Park.

A white Renault Kwid was recovered, reported hijacked on a Lyttleton case, and two suspects were arrested.

In further policing, two abandoned hijacked vehicles were recovered, a white Nissan NP300 at Plastic Village, Brakpan, reported on an Actonville case and a white BMW 3-series at Dongasela Street, Etwatwa, reported on a Tsakane case.

Investigation into all cases will continue.

The suspects will appear in local magistrate’s courts facing charges of possession of and dealing in drugs and possession of a hijacked motor vehicle.
