Nathel’s father Sannie Ndlovu, was walking with his daughter on Link Road near Esselen Park when a car diverted from the road and hit his daughter.

“She died on the scene,” he said.

Sannie said the driver stopped after hitting his daughter. But, while Ndlovu tried to save his daughter, the man drove off.

The man was driving a dark silver/grey Hyundai Tucson.

Sannie did not get the registration number because he focused on saving his daughter.

“I saw the car. There was damage to the spotlight and bumper of the vehicle during the incident and to its left side,“ Sannie said.

He suspects the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol.

Sannie said they called the police to the scene and his daughter was taken to the Germiston Mortuary.
