Police arrest two suspects and seize dagga

During on-scene investigations, officers found that the packages contained a large amount of dagga.

Benoni Flying Squad members arrested two suspects and recovered dagga on September 15.

At around 07:30, officers patrolling along R25 close to ERWAT direction R21 pulled over a white Toyota Fortuner with two occupants.

Officers noticed four large parcels wrapped in brown tape in the back of the vehicle.

During on-scene investigations, officers found that the packages contained a large amount of dagga.

The two suspects were arrested and the vehicle was impounded. The dagga weighing in at over 44kg was booked in as an exhibit.

Investigation continues. The suspects will be appearing in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court soon facing charges of dealing in dagga.
