Suspects caught stripping a hijacked car in Thembisa
Two suspects were arrested after being caught stripping a stolen vehicle.
Officers from the EMPD’s North Task Team arrested two criminals in connection with a hijacked vehicle in Thembisa on November 18 at about 17:30.
While doing routine crime prevention patrols, the officers received an alert from a vehicle tracking company about a white BMW.
The car, reportedly hijacked earlier in the Diepsloot area, was tracked to the Ehlanzeni section of Thembisa.

Acting swiftly, the officers found the vehicle on Pemba Street and caught two men aged 39 and 42 in the act of stripping the car.
The officers took them into custody, detained them at the Thembisa South Police Station and opened a case of possession of stolen property against them. They should soon appear in the Thembisa Magistrate’s Court.
