A 34-year-old woman was arrested for fraud by EMPD ORTIA Precinct officers at OR Tambo International Airport on February 4.
While conducting crime prevention patrols on the airport’s upper level, officers stopped a blue Volkswagen Polo and requested the driver’s licence, which she produced.
However, on inspecting the vehicle, officers conducted a systematic check to verify the VIN. It was discovered that the details did not match the vehicle in question.
