Suspect caught with a hijacked vehicle in Rabie Ridge
The suspect will face charges of possession of a hijacked vehicle when he appears in the Thembisa Magistrate’s Court.
Officers from the EMPD North Task Team arrested a suspect in the Rabie Ridge area on March 17 during a routine crime prevention operation.
While patrolling Modderfontein Road, officers noticed a silver Hyundai Getz without a front registration plate.
Upon stopping the vehicle for inspection, they discovered the licence disc did not correspond with the rear registration plate.

Further investigation into the registration plate revealed it belonged to a Toyota Tazz linked to a case from Ivory Park Police Station.
The officers arrested the 31-year-old male suspect and detained him at Rabie Ridge Police Station.
He faces charges of possession of a hijacked vehicle when he appears in the Thembisa Magistrate’s Court.
