Stolen bakkie recovered in Ivory Park
Officers located the abandoned vehicle on Gadebe Street in Ivory Park. The bakkie was taken to the Aeroton police pound for investigation.
The EMPD’s North Task Team recovered a stolen white Hyundai bakkie on Gadebe Street in Ivory Park, Thembisa, on May 21.
Officers were conducting routine crime prevention patrols when they received information from a vehicle tracking company regarding a bakkie that had been stolen during a house robbery in the Thembisa area.

Using GPS coordinates provided by the tracking company, officers traced the vehicle to Gadebe Street, where it was found abandoned on the side of the road.
The recovered vehicle was taken to the Aeroton police pound for further investigation.
