Kempton Park human trafficking case postponed to October

Dinago is currently out on bail for a case that relates to the rescue of several Ethiopian nationals from a property in Birchleigh North.

The man accused in connection with a suspected human trafficking case in Birchleigh North, Kempton Park, appeared in the Kempton Park Regional Court this morning, August 27.

The accused, Fekada Eshetu Dinago, saw his matter postponed to October 24 for further investigation, as the State awaits information in terms of Section 205 of the Criminal Procedure Act.

Dinago is currently out on R5 000 bail, which was granted under strict conditions. He has been ordered not to contact any of the victims in the case and is required to report to the Norkem Park Police Station every Tuesday and Friday between 06:00 and 18:00.

The case relates to the rescue of several Ethiopian nationals who were allegedly held captive in a house in Birchleigh North earlier this month.
