EMPD issues 32 traffic fines during New Year’s Eve roadblock in Kempton Park

32 motorists were fined during a New Year’s Eve roadblock conducted by EMPD officers in the Kempton Park area to check driver and vehicle compliance.

A total of 32 traffic fines were issued during a New Year’s Eve roadblock conducted by the EMPD in Kempton Park.

The operation took place on December 31, 2025, at 10:00 at the corner of Zuurfontein Road and Parkland Drive.

Officers from the EMPD Social Crime Prevention Unit, together with personnel from Edenvale, Kempton Park, and Edleen precincts, conducted the roadblock.

The purpose of the operation was to ensure that drivers and vehicles were roadworthy and complied with traffic laws.

Officers checked the driver’s documents and the vehicles’ roadworthiness.

During the roadblock, motorists found in violation of traffic regulations were issued 32 fines.
