Stolen BMW recovered in Glen Marais during EMPD patrol

Crime-prevention patrols paid off when officers located a stolen vehicle with the help of a tracking company.

EMPD’s Northern Region Task Team recovered a stolen bronze BMW in Glen Marais, Kempton Park, on March 26.

The officers were conducting crime-prevention patrols when they received information from a tracking company about a bronze BMW that had been stolen in Roodepoort.

A case had been opened at the Roodepoort Police Station.

Members proceeded to Glen Marais, where the vehicle was found parked on the roadside.

All relevant role players were summoned to the scene, and the vehicle was subsequently taken to the Aeroton police pound for further investigation.
