Ekurhuleni police recover hijacked vehicle and seize drugs
Two cat (cocaine), two crystal methamphetamine, seven rocks (cocaine) and 12 nyaope (heroine) packets were recovered in these separate incidents.
Benoni Flying Squad members arrested eight suspects, recovered a hijacked vehicle and confiscated a quantity of drugs during separate operations between July 15 and 19.
On July 15 at approximately 13:00, members followed up on information and recovered an abandoned white Toyota Corolla in Ivory Park Extension 7.
The vehicle had been reported hijacked in a case in Rabie Ridge and was processed by Sandton forensic personnel before being impounded.

Between July 18 and 19, seven suspects were arrested for drug-related offences during separate incidents in Etwatwa at Emaphupheni Extension 8 and Albertina Section, as well as in Kempton Park.
The Kempton Park arrests took place in Long Oak and Casuarina streets.
During the operations, police recovered two units of CAT (cocaine), two units of crystal methamphetamine, seven rocks of cocaine and 12 packets of nyaope (heroin).
In a further policing operation on July 19 at approximately 12:00, a 37-year-old foreign national was arrested for allegedly dealing in drugs at a liquor store in Oak Avenue, Kempton Park.

During the arrest, officers recovered 50 packets of nyaope (heroin), 20 units of crystal methamphetamine, four units of cat (cocaine) and R200 in cash.
The suspect was detained at Kempton Park SAPS, while the exhibits were booked in.
Investigations into the cases are continuing. The suspects are expected to appear in the local Magistrates’ Courts on charges of possession of and dealing in drugs.
