McKenzie said the ongoing outages have had a significant impact on households, businesses, elderly residents and those working from home.
“Residents have raised serious concerns regarding the lack of communication, recurring infrastructure failures and the prolonged delays in resolving the matter permanently,” said McKenzie.
While residents welcomed the restoration of power on May 25, the latest outage has intensified frustrations.
“Many residents are now demanding a detailed explanation from the relevant department regarding the cause of the repeated failures, what interventions are being implemented, and how the City plans to prevent similar incidents in future,” he added.
