Local residents irate over unfixed leak

Silverleaf Avenue has experienced a water leak since May 26.

The residents on Silverleaf Avenue in Birchleigh feel as if their cries for help have fallen on deaf ears.

Since May 26, the Silverleaf Avenue residents have experienced a water leak.

Resident Elize Coetzee said she had sent numerous messages and emails to her councillor and the CoE.

According to Coetzee, after receiving no help, she turned to the Kempton Express.

“I hope bringing the matter to the Express will help find a resolution. I tried several phone numbers, but all the numbers go to voice mail.

“One number put me on hold for what felt like forever, just playing music,” she said.

A communication from Ward Clr Amanda Davison said, “The matter was escalated when first reported on May 26.”

Kempton Express sent an enquiry to the CoE on June 30 and Davison on July 3.
