Man of God gives locals hopes during hard times
Through his simple yet impactful gestures, he has brought hope and unity to countless lives, leaving a lasting imprint on the community.
Michael Durelle (46), better known as Moses, has been a beacon of hope in various communities by uplifting residents with his biblical messages.
Moses, a preacher and resident, has taken it upon himself to spread positivity and inspire others to stay strong amid adversity.
Durelle is a handyman by trade and he sells wooden crafts and signs with biblical messages as a means to make an honest living.
“I am very happy to do handyman jobs, as I strive to use my messages to better the community. My bread, butter, and jam come from the crafts I offer that carry biblical messages,” Durelle said.

Through his simple yet impactful gestures, he has brought hope and unity to countless lives, leaving a lasting imprint on the community.
“It is during these challenging times that we truly discover our inner strength,” said Durelle.
“By supporting one another and fostering resilience, we can rise above any obstacle that comes our way. Together, we are stronger.”
He said he is an anointed servant of God and said he was given the name Moses for his efforts to preach the gospel in numerous cities’ streets.
“Moses comes from my efforts of preaching the gospel of God. In life, the Lord enjoys choosing the outcasts. I was in a terrible state, rejected and I was ostracised.
“I had a lot of healing to do. I was raised by the Lord. He cleaned me up and he put an end to my heartache,” he said.

Moses said God instructed him to go and make a fruitful contribution to His work.
Durelle visits shopping centres and hospitals to seek out people in need of encouragement from the Lord.
He said that in 2012, at the age of 35, he was called to encourage and preach the Word of God.
Durelle states that he is a giver and helper of life.
“In the Bible, God stated he is a father to the orphans, similar to how I am.
“This made me invest a lot of time and offer a lot of sacrifices to advance God’s kingdom by giving back to the community. I am active in so many ministries because of this.”

He said his favourite scripture in the Bible is John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only son Jesus to die for me to have eternal life.”
What is next for the street preacher? “I am going to teach the unemployed how to design crafts with biblical messages and how to create an income for themselves.”
