Man busted for stolen pallets of mayonnaise valued at R 250 000 in Kempton Park

A 33-year-old man was arrested on after he was found in possession of suspected stolen property worth R250 000.

A 33-year-old man was arrested after he was found in possession of suspected stolen property worth R250 000 on October 4.

The Kempton Park Crime Prevention members were conducting their routine patrols when they visited a store on Pretoria Road in Kempton Park.

According to Kempton SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Dipuo Ditshego, after inspecting the shop’s upstairs storeroom, 12 pallets of mayonnaise were discovered that the business owner could not account for.

“It was found that the mayonnaise were taken earlier this week during a business robbery at Tiger Brands.

“The product owner was called, and he presented documentation of the property. The stolen items were returned to the owner,” said Ditshego.

The suspect appeared in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on October 6.
