Pets up for adoption at the SPCA

1. Choose an animal and fall in love.

2. Complete the application to adopt the animal. Pay a R200 (non-refundable) deposit. You need a copy of your ID and proof of residence.

4. The adoption process may take up to seven working days, and pre-homes are conducted ONLY between 10:00 and 14:00, Monday to Friday.

5. On approval of the application and pre-home inspection, the balance of the adoption fee is payable.

6. The animal will go for sterilisation as soon as there is space at the vet after approval of the home inspection.

The local society reserves the right to reject or refuse the application.

Adoption fees:

• Dog: R1 300 (includes sterilisation, micro-chip, first vaccination, first de-wormer and tag).

• Cat: R950 (includes sterilisation, first vaccination, first de-wormer and micro-chip optional).
