The event managed to raise over R70 000 for the NPC, which serves as a lifeline for those affected by breast cancer in the community.
The festival proved that collective action and the commitment of individuals and businesses towards a common goal can make a difference.
Member of the organising committee, Nadia Venter, said the event idea came as a request from the NPC five months ago.
“They always need sponsors as the cost to do a mammogram is sky high and we try to get women to help,” she said.
The festival grounds were filled with excitement, with stalls offering a variety of food and trinkets, providing attendees with the opportunity to indulge in delicious food and discover unique handmade treasures.
“The entertainment line-up was star-studded with renowned artists and performers who contributed to the course with their talents. Liezel Pieters, Niel Somers, Julian J, and the enchanting Robin K took to the stage, captivating the audience with their performances.”

The festival wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Smada Security Solutions, Absa Bank, TRD Motorcycles, Toyota PTA Noord, Yamaha Linex, SSG, and ADHD Generators.
There were also other contributions.
“The planning and skills of the organisers, led by charter president Theo Kloppers, ensured that the event ran smoothly, leaving those in attendance with cherished memories and a renewed sense of purpose in the fight against breast cancer.”
Venter said people are scared of things that they don’t understand. “This is why we need to make them aware by using events such as this.”
She added that next year they are planning on staging a bigger and better festival.
