EMPD nabs an undocumented biker for bribery
The EMPD officers were on patrol in the Umtambeka section when they spotted a white Big Boy delivery scooter driving recklessly.

EMPD officers from the Thembisa precinct nabbed a motorcyclist on October 27 for bribery and breaking the Immigrations Act 13 of 2002 .
The officers were on patrol in the Umtambeka Section, when they spotted a white Big Boy delivery scooter, driving recklessly.

The motorcyclist was stopped and appeared to be skittish.
He could not produce any official document when asked and instead, took out a R200 note for officers to turn a blind eye.
The man, facing charges of reckless and negligent driving, was also charged with bribery and taken to the Rabasotho Police Station.
Immigration officers were called in to verify the suspects’ immigration status.
The suspect is set to appear at the Thembisa Magistrate’s Court soon and the motorbike, used in committing the offences, was impounded at the EMPD Thembisa Precinct for safekeeping.
