Police arrest five suspects, recover stolen vehicles and seize drugs

BFS arrested five suspects for being in drug possession and recovered five vehicles between October 30 and November 2.

Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) members arrested five suspects and recovered five motor vehicles between October 30 and November 2.

They arrested five suspects for possession of drugs in Etwatwa – in Barcelona, Mandela East, Emaphupheni and Albertina.

They confiscated dagga and crystal methamphetamine in these separate incidents.

In further policing, the members recovered five abandoned motor vehicles.

On Xhosa Street, Daveyton, they recovered a silver Toyota Belta, reported hijacked on a Crystal Park case.

They found a white Nissan NP200 at Umthambeka Section, Thembisa, reported hijacked on a Thembisa case.

Crystal methamphetamine recovered from suspects.

A white Hino truck was also recovered at Ext 15, Ivory Park. The owner reported the truck stolen on a Heilbron case.

The BFS members also recovered a silver Mercedes at Aluminum Street, Olifantsfontein, reported hijacked on an Ivory Park case and a silver 3-series BMW from Orange River Drive, Terenure hijacked on a Norkem Park case.

The silver Toyota Belta, recovered at Xhosa Street, Daveyton was reported hijacked in Crystal Park.

The investigation will continue into all cases.

The alleged drug suspects will appear in the Daveyton Magistrate’s Court facing charges of possession of and dealing in drugs.
