Themisa police arrest one suspect and recover stolen motorbikes

The suspect was taken into custody and is scheduled to soon appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s court to answer to allegations of possessing alleged pilfered property.

The Thembisa police successfully recovered three stolen motorbikes and detained a 28-year-old foreign national as part of their proactive approach to property-related offences on November 7.

The arrest unfolded after a rapid response by the officers, who acted on information about suspicious activities at a residence in Temong Section.

On thorough inspection of the premises, law enforcement discovered three motorbikes in a stripped-down state with various bike parts concealed in black refuse bags.

Initial investigations revealed that two recovered bikes matched reports of stolen vehicles in Rabie Ridge and Ivory Park cases, while the third lacked a discernible serial number.

The detained individual is in custody and is expected to face charges related to the possession of suspected stolen property.
