Man found dead in a burning car in Norkem Park

Community members contacted the Norkem Park SAPS after seeing a vehicle on fire on Krokodil Street in Norkem Park on Sunday.

“When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man’s body inside the vehicle,” said Norkem Park SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Barbara-Anne Ferreira.

She said the body was burnt beyond recognition, and the vehicle only burnt on the inside.

“The wife of the deceased man arrived on scene to identify her 35-year-old husband.”

“The wife informed officers on the scene that a petrol container was missing from her house.

“The body was taken to Germiston Mortuary, and an inquest docket was opened,” said Ferreira.
