Jeugland math whizz in the SA top 10
The subject alpha mathematics (formerly additional mathematics HG) is an extra-curricular subject offered to learners with a particular interest in mathematics.
A learner from Hoërskool Jeugland finished in the top 10 learners in South Africa in the alpha mathematics November examination.
Corné van Zyl achieved 98% on the exam.
Four other learners from Jeugland and Kempton Park High School also achieved distinctions.

They are Cara Govender (Jeugland) with 92%, Amber Jonker (Kempton Park) with 88%, Marete de Plessis (Kempton Park) with 87% and Naomi Nsenda (Jeugland) with 82%.
