Several suspects arrested during Operation Shanela
“ A total number of 13 suspects were arrested, one for Possession and dealing in drugs, four for possession of drugs and eight for illegal immigrants.”
Officers from Kempton Park SAPS arrested 13 suspects during Operation Shanela on December 7.
Other stakeholders such as Gauteng Traffic, Crime Prevention Wardens and patrollers joined officers for the operation.
According to Kempton Park SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Dipuo Ditshego, those arrested included four people for possession of drugs and eight for illegal immigrants.

“A total of 68 people were searched, 12 ATMs were visited, 11 filling stations were also visited, four malls were also patrolled and nine spaza shops were visited and compliance was checked,” said Ditshego.
Lieutenant Colonel Maqcuntsu thanked officers for their hard work.
