Truck looted following crash on R21

There have been no arrests of those who descended on the scene to make off with items strewn across the highway.

SAPS are yet to make arrests after an overturned truck was looted on the R21 near Olifantsfontein Road last night, March 7.

EMPD spokesperson, Thabiso Makgato said it was believed that ongoing road works in the area were the cause of the crash.

“The driver of the truck passed through the excavation signage and the vehicle subsequently overturned.”
