Pets up for adoption at Kempton Park SPCA

The adoption process may take up to seven working days to complete, and pre-home checks are ONLY done between 10:00 and 14:00, Monday to Friday.

These are the steps to follow to adopt a pet from the Kempton Park SPCA:

• Choose an animal and fall in love.

• Complete the application to adopt the animal. Pay a R200 (non-refundable) deposit. You need a copy of your ID and proof of residence.

• The staff will inspect your application.

• The adoption process may take up to seven working days to complete, and pre-homes are ONLY done between 10:00 and 14:00, Monday to Friday.

This male Siamese kitten hopes his perfect family will find him soon.

• On approval of the application and pre-home inspection, the balance of the adoption fee is payable.

• The animal will go for sterilisation as soon as there is space at the vet after approval of the home inspection.

• Take your fur baby home.

The society reserves the right to reject or refuse the application.

Marshmallow is a nine-year-old female Pekingese looking for a peaceful retirement home.

Adoption fees:

• Dog: R1 300 (includes sterilisation, micro-chip, first vaccination, first de-wormer and tag);

• Cat: R950 (includes sterilisation, first vaccination, first de-wormer and micro-chip optional).
