Community gathers to remember Emmanuel Makwiting

Friends, teammates and members of the community gathered at Hoërskool Jeugland this afternoon for an emotional remembrance ceremony.

Emmanuel tragically died on July 15 after sustaining a serious neck injury during a rugby game against Pietersburg High School on July 13.

Paramedics stabilised Emmanuel on the field and he was rushed to hospital.

According to information available to the Kempton Express, Emmanuel suffered a fracture to his neck vertebrae.
