Thembisa woman arrested for assault and violating court order

The man was allegedly at the station to open a case against the woman who contravened a court order.

A 48-year-old woman was arrested on September 2 after being caught on cameras at the Tembisa SAPS assaulting her male partner.

While the man was still in the queue, the ex-girlfriend arrived, grabbed the court papers from the man and tore them up.

The woman was immediately arrested and charged with contempt of court.

“Gone are the days when men were suffering in silence.

“Men are encouraged to report abuse by women and to avoid taking the law into their own hands,” said Tembisa SAPS station commander Brigadier Cyril Nkuna.
