Drug mule suspect to appear in Kempton Park Magistrate Court today
Tshabalala was the 11th female drug mule to be nabbed at ORTIA in the last two months.
Mmantwa Tshabalala appeared at the Kempton Park Magistrate court on October 8 on charges of drug trafficking.
The 21-year-old was arrested on September 29 at the OR Tambo International Airport.

According to the SAPS national spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, the woman was profiled and intercepted when her flight landed on South African soil from São Paulo, Brazil.

“The police took her to a local hospital where an X-ray confirmed she had several foreign objects in her stomach,” said Mathe.
After a medical examination, she released more than 60 drug bullets.
State prosecutor Takalani Mukhumo said the case was postponed to October 15, when Tshabalala is expected to apply for bail.
